About the ongoing assault on Internet Freedom....

If politicians think that they can extend their dictatorship onto the internet, then they will have or ought to have one heck of a fight on their hands!

The internet is the one place that is thus far unaffected by arbitrary human-made political boundaries and wholesale censorship. Politicians are increasingly seeing the social power of the web, in for instance, mobilizing people to take critical mass action--be it by taking the fight directly to the streets for economic and social freedom, petitioning so-called local/state representatives, harnessing the power of personal wallets at the national or transnational stage, or by ensuring that only proven grassroots leaders take elected offices.

What used to be an exclusive monopoly of the rich, i.e. getting their voices amplified in and by mass media, is no more, thanks in no small measure to the explosion of the internet; now, the average person can have a voice almost as loud and powerful--again thanks to the internet! It's then easy to see why politicians and their corporate allies are working very hard to end internet freedom; dictatorships around the world, or perhaps better known as the "establishment" or the "ruling class" to many--whether it be those plutocracies masquerading as "democracies" or those self-proclaimed "socialists", are now scrambling to muzzle the average folk on the web! This is NOT going to happen, if all internet-freedom lovers have anything to say AND do about it!
